Derby County (3-1) 16-10-20 58 pts.
The Hornerts wrapped up the season last Saturday with a victory to nab 13th place in the Championship table. Grzegorz Rasaik scored two goals - a right-footer from six yards out at minute 27 and a left-footer from 12 yards at the fortieth minute (an assist by Tommy Smith on that one).
Jobi McAnuff kicked off the scoring in the thirteenth minute and even Derby's goal came from a Hornet in the person of John Eustace, on loan to the Rams.
The season saw the beginnings of a turn-around with the arrival of Brendan Rogers and the infusion of a bit more stability in the front office. We'll keep an eye on personnel moves over the summer. Already re-signed are: Lee, Mariappa, & Liam Henderson.
Meanwhile, I'll have to make do with Cardinals baseball & Athletica soccer.
