New Sponsor - All It's Cracked Up To Be?

The club has announced the new sponsor for the upcoming 2012 - 2013 will be Hertfordshire-based producers of free-range eggs, The Happy Egg Company. I am not making this up. (One wonders how much of a 'free-range' an egg can enjoy, not having a good deal of range inside the hen to start with. Similarly, how happy can they be when they're just going to be eaten anyhow? But I digress. Just see how happy they are in this photo - are those feet on my eggs?)

The happy egg company will be Watford's official club sponsor

I can't wait for the jersey unveiling. Shall we put a comb on Harry?

Watford on the Block Again

After a mere 15 months, Laurence Bassini is looking to sell the Hornets. In an interview with the Watford Observer, Bassini confirmed he was in talks with the Pozzo family, owners of Serie A side Udinese.

Asking price is an estimated £20 million, a figure that would clear the bonds and leave Bassini whole.

When pressed for his reason for selling, Bassini said, "I have been here 14 months and I do not see my daughter at the weekends. I like to do everything with her and she doesn’t like football so that is a massive reason."

Happy Father's Day Laurence.

Rodgers to Liverpool

Brendan Rodgers, former Hornets manager, has been appointed manager of Liverpool F.C.. Rodgers, who left Watford after part of one season (08-09) with a 13-7-12 record in his first managerial role, replaces Reds legend Kenny Daglish at Anfield.

Rodgers' move follows a disappointing stint at Reading and a successful tour at Swansea City that saw the Welsh club win the playoffs to earn promotion to the Premier League.
