After a disappointing fall in the table in the last half of last season and a poor start this year, Aidy Boothroyd was sacked as Watford's manager yesterday.
Aidy lead the squad to the Premiership two seasons ago but, after relegation back to the Championship and the sale of their top players, the club has struggled and is lying two goals outside the relegation zone.
Malky Mackay will be caretaker manager until someone can be found.
I, for one, am disappointed. I think he did what he could with with the talent he had left after Ben Foster went back to United, Ashley Young was sold off and Mahon & King departed. Where the parachute money and the signing funds went is baffling though the money we've wasted on Poom & Ellington may explain a lot of it.
Look for more shake-ups both on & off the pitch.
