Sheffield Wednesday (2-2) 13-7-17 46 pts.

The line-up was a little shook up yesterday as Grzegorz Rasiak is sitting out four weeks with a torn abductor.

In the course of ninety short minutes, the 'Orns almost won a game they should have lost and drew a game they should have won.

The Owls dominated the first half as a listless Watford side managed to earn no corners and took only one shot on goal. Marcus Tudgay nailed a rebound generated by a Sheffield corner kick to give them the lead. That lead stood until added time when John Harley overshot Tamas Priskin. Keeper Lee Grant slipped coming out for the ball and defender Mark Beevers tried to clear the ball but hammered it into his own net instead. Ouch.

Will Hoskins came in for Lee Williamson at the half and Watford played with a new lease on life. A Don Cowie cross at minute 56 let Jobi McAnuff head in the go-ahead goal from six yards out and the Hornets held that 2-1 lead through 90 minutes.

But 90 minutes weren't enough. The fourth official added 6 minutes of stoppage time and a suspect foul by Jon Harley gave Francis Jeffers a final-minute penalty goal to salvage a point in the tables.

Another minute of stoppage was added and the Hornets managed one last corner kick, but the draw stood up.

Next match is Tuesday at Cardiff City. Kickoff is 2:45 pm St. Louis time.
