Look at that! Twelve points, sixth place in the table back-to-back wins (and an away win to boot!). Sure it was against bottom-dweller Plymouth Argyle off to one of their worse starts ever, but a win's a win (and three points).
You had to be ready for this one as Tom Cleverley scored in the fourth minute off a Don Cowie corner-kick and there the score stood until the final whistle. Cleverley played exceptionally well, covering the pitch and directing play.
Argyle played poorly after the goal, not getting regrouped until late in the first half (though they did give Scott Loach a couple of scares).
Malkay Mackay made no changes to the starting XI that downed Barnsley three days prior, Jay DeMerit out with a slight eye injury but recovered from the strain he picked up with the USA Men's squad against Trinidad & Tobago.
Next match is Saturday, September 19 at Vicarage Road against Leicester City. Kickoff is 9:00 am St. Louis time.
