Watford 2-3 Swansea City 4-3-2 15 pts.

Brendan Rodgers' Swans took the Hornets down a notch today as Watford's streak of impressive performances came to an end.

Winger Scott Sinclair got Swansea on the scoreboard in the eleventh minute and a Steven Dobbie goal in minute 30 left the Hornets limping into the half.

If anything, Swansea turned up the heat in the second half, dominating possession and outshooting Watford on goal attempts. Frank Nouble came in for Dobbie in the 67th minute and promptly nabbed the Swans' third goal three minutes later, eroding the goal difference Watford had built up over the last two matches.

Watford mounted a comeback however, with Troy Deeney right-footing a Marvin Sordell-headed cross in from 12 yards out at minute 77. Martin Taylor added his contribution at the 86 minute mark, heading in a Lloyd Doyley cross from 6 yards out. Despite five minutes of added time, the Hornets ran out of road and failed to capture a point.

The result, coupled with a late Reading goal, left Watford in a clear 4th place in the league table.

The next match is Saturday at Sheffield United. Kickoff is 9:00 am St. Louis time.
