Ipswich Town 1-2 Watford 6-6-8 24 pts

A terrific burst of goals and Watford came from behind to prevent Ipswich from leap-frogging over them in the standings today.

A midfield rush and a Keith Andrews header put the Tractor Boys up 1-0 in the last minute of the first half after bedeviling Scott Loach throughout the half.

The score stayed there for the next 25 minutes until Ibrahima Sonko fouled Marvin Sordell in the penalty area. Sordell coolly sent David Stockdale the wrong way to slot the goal.

Four minutes later Troy Deeney found a rebound from a Mark Yeates shot to give Watford three points in the standings. The Hornets rest four points clear of the drop zone at present.

The next match is Saturday, December 10 at Vicarage Road when we host Leeds United. Kickoff is 9:00 am St. Louis time.
