I'm hoping to be forgiven for missing this one: my dear wife whisked me away Friday night to celebrate my 50th birthday and kept me work-, Watford-, and worry-free through Saturday morning.
It sounded like a rerun of Tuesday - but with a few extra players on: opponent goal two minutes into injury time, handball penalty shot, but rather than two points, we managed to drop only one. A well-needed point, mind, as Watford is wallowing a scant two spots above the drop zone with a third of the season down.
The next chance at those points is Saturday, November 3 when Leicester City visits Vicarage Road. Kickoff is 10:00 am St. Louis time.
