Voicing what everyone else is thinking, Sir Elton tore into the management of the club Wednesday, questioning where the money from transfers & parachute payments have gone.
In response, Chairman Simpson issued a statement on the club site, pointing out the payroll has grown to nearly three times that in place when Boothroyd arrived and that the club had broken its former transfer fee record (though God knows they got squat for it - ed).
