An early goal from Leeds captain Richard Naylor and solid goal keeping from Kaspar Scmeichel dealt Watford their first league loss of the season.
The Hornets felt the absence of the injured Danny Graham as the front line of Troy Deeney & Marvin Sordel failed to connect. Not much in the way of excitement from either squad.
The league is on international break. The next match is at Vicarage Road September 11 against the Doncaster Rovers. Kickoff is 9:00 St. Louis time.
