A decisive win for Watford today as they hosted Burnley. Though the visitors lead in possession, corners, & shots on goal, the Hornets took charge in the first two minutes and never let up.
A cross from Will Hoskins found Jobi McAnuff six yards out and McAnuff right-footed it in in the second minute. Burnley came back strong, dominating possession in the first fifteen minutes and drawing Gavin Hoyte into a foul that resulted in a yellow card, but Watford turned the tables and controlled the latter part of the first half.
Little action until Tamas Priskin came in for Will Hoskins, scoring two minutes later in the 76th minute.
Tamas dropped in his second in the waning minutes of added time - giving Watford two wins in four days.
Next match is Saturday, January 31 when the Hornets travel to Wolverhampton to take on the table-leading Wolves.
