Ugggggggggggly
No less than eight Reading players scored or earned an assist against the Hornets' porous defence today. The lack of cohesion was evident - Williamson returning to find two new faces, Hoyte & Cork, making only their second appearance each.
A fairly even match in the first half with a handful of saves by either keeper (and one too few by Loach as Chris Armstrong found the net in the 38th minute - this too scored from inside the penalty box), Reading exploded in the second half shortly after Grzegorz Rasiak come on for an injured Ross Jenkins in the 65th minute.
Reading scored two goals in three minutes as Watford tried to regroup. A deflated Hornets squad let the final goal in with just a minute left in regulation time. The Hornets are too close to relegation territory to be giving up a four goal difference.
The next match is Saturday, January 17 at Vicarage Road against Sheffield United. Kickoff is 9:00 am St. Louis time.
