Sheffield United (0-2) 7-6-15 27 pts.

Two former Hornets turned in goals against the boys in yellow handing them an 0-2 defeat and brushing them up against the relegation zone where they lead Doncaster Rovers by one measly goal.

Though the squad lead play from end-to-end, the Blades dominated the game around the nets, clearing many of Watford's scoring opportunities and beating the Watford defense flat-footed.

There was no score in the first half but no spark from Watford either. A sign of things to come, a throw-in that found Darius Henderson's head had to be knocked away by Scott Loach as Adrian Mariappa was caught out of position leading to words between Mariappa & Jay DeMerit culminating in a shove by Mariappa of the captain.

All was well as the two came onto the field together, but any locker-room cohesiveness failed to carry onto the pitch. A header by Hendo set up the first goal of the day by ex-Hornet Danny Webber for six yards out in the 52nd minute. Hendo got his own unassisted goal about 15 minutes later from twelve yards out to seal the deal for the Blades.

The next match is at Vicarage Road Tuesday, January 27th. Kickoff is 1:45 St. Louis time.
