Watford 1-1 Charlton Athletic 2-3-1 9 pts

Oh! the perils of listening on the go. I managed to miss Daniel Pudil's equalizer while popping into the grocery store for lunch fixin's.

I did, however, get to hear Yann Kermorgant's penalty kick in the opening minutes of the second half that put Chris Powell's squad ahead. A senseless foul by Essiad Belkalem on Lawrie Wilson set up the PK and typified the sort of mental lapses that are plaguing the Hornets.

Watford has faced a classic 'not living up to their potential' run of form, going winless in their last four league encounters. It's been the momentary lapses in defense, the sloppy fouls, that have marred otherwise well-played matches and have cost a point here, two points there, and find the Hornets currently in 9th place.

They get a chance to fix that Tuesday, September 17th as they host the Doncaster Rovers. Kickoff is 1:45 St. Louis time.
