Another season kicks off - this time with a few less familiar names as Watford struggles into the campaign financially.
On the pitch, Mart Poom held Palace scoreless while Julian Speroni did the same against the Hornets despite solid chances from McAnuff, Eustace, Williamson and Tommy Smith.
Sadler, Doyley, Bromby & DeMerit were the starting backs while Harley & Priskin joined Tommy up front in the new-look 4-3-3 for Watford.
Three points would have been nice, but an away draw to start the season in nothing to cry about.
Watford hosts the Bristol Rovers in the first round of the League Cup Tuesday. Kickoff is 1:45 pm. St. Louis time.
